A brief Introduction.
Hello everyone! My name is Lisa and I am a 27 year old woman from the state of Wisconsin. I like to read, write, draw, hike, swim, spend time with people I love, play with my cat, baking/cooking, decorate my apartment, learn about design, religion, mythology, and history. I also love to shop, looking for pretty things at thrift stores or flea markets. I practically live in a bookstore and our public library knows me by name! I dislike math, bees, drugs/most alcohol, conceited attitudes, horror films, spicy food, and losing those I love with a passion.
Being an Aquarius, my biography is far from being complete; I've been indecisive about it, since the day I graduated from high school in 2001. I've been looking for a direction in life. Floating between many degrees, looking for something that's meaningful to me and can be beneficial to others in the process.
With that motive, I've found myself enrolled in Fox Valley Technical College to become a teacher, unless if my life takes a sharp turn over the next few years unexpectedly. Struggling with a few learning disabilities, I can see that this will be a long road ahead of me. In the end, it will be the best decision I have ever made.
Rules about my journal:
1. Respect other people's opinions and points of view. If you have a problem with someone please take it behind closed doors. Attacking or flaming each other and me will result in a ban from commenting my journal.
2. I appreciate any advice that you'll give me, and I thank you for it, but please don't expect me to agree with it completely. However, I will take it to consideration. I am learning to become my own person again which requires gaining confidence with decision making on my own. I hope you understand.
3. I do not believe in friend cuts. To me it just feels wrong to cut someone from your life just because they don't comment, update, or to simply shorten a list. New friends are always welcome!
4. This journal is now an open journal again. However, anonymous comments are now disabled.
5. Keep in mind that I am not an optimistic person. I have mental health problems such as depression and anxiety and I often use this journal as a safe haven to vent, keeping the most negative rants behind private entries. However, my attitude is slowly growing and changing over time and hopefully the very emotional entries may become a thing of the past.
6. Even though I welcome all religions and backgrounds, I am a believer in God and Jesus. That means there will be several entries where I will be talking openly about the subject, but I find other religions interesting too. If you have something against Christianity, this journal might not be for you.
That is all. In other words, welcome to my journal.
